Meet Lisa
Founder of Roots & Wings
With a passion for community and connection, Lisa DeMuro has dedicated over 25 years to teaching and creating environments where everyone feels valued. As a mother of two, a seasoned educator with a Master's in Counseling, and a certified Empowerment Coach, Lisa focuses on unlocking the unique potential in each individual, revealing the 'superpowers' within us all.
Inspired by the timeless stories in Clarissa Pinkola Estes’ "Women Who Run With the Wolves," Lisa has continued her study of transformative narratives with authors Maria Murdock (The Heroine’s Journey) and Maria Souza (Women and Mythology). She has participated in empowerment circles with women from across the globe. These experiences have shown her that, despite differences in geography, culture, language, or spiritual practices, women are united by shared challenges, joys, and life lessons.
Lisa believes deeply in giving a voice to women of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs. Through Roots & Wings, she creates a community where women can come together to embrace life’s tangles and triumphs—contrasting sharply with the polished facades often seen on social media.
